The leaves on the trees are well along when it comes to color. The leaf colors this year have been very pretty. However, it seems like the leaves are taking their time on falling off.
The leaves falling are slowed because of the weather. We have had a wet fall. The increase in moisture helps to keep the leaves on the trees for a longer time in the fall.
Now this is just how mother nature works. We will have to be patient and wait for the leaves. They will fall. It happens every year. When the leaves do make their way to the ground, we will just have more leaves at one time to pick up. Until then, patience will have to prevail.
